MOU Signed between ACCE and Afreximbank in Cairo, Egypt
We are proud to announce, that the signing ceremony for the partnership MoU between ACCE and Afrexim Bank which took place on 30th Nov 2010 in Cairo was a great success. The MoU was signed by Chairman: ACCE and President: Afrexim Bank and witnessed by Zambian Ambassador to Egypt & Deputy, representation from ZIPAR and many African and Global Financial Institutions.

Professor Chingambo is honored to have been named as a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 5th Assessment Report, writing on "Cross-cutting Investment and Finance Issues".
ACCE Chairman Professor Lloyd Chingambo invited to a High-Level Climate Change Policy Dialogue in Italy Professor Lloyd Chingambo will be attending a meeting entitled “High-Level Policy Dialogue Towards a Shared Action Framework for Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change in Africa”. This meeting will be held in Italy at the Bellagio Center and will run from 6th to 8th July, 2010. ACCE Chairman speaks at CARBON EXPO 2010 ACCE Chairman Professor Lloyd Chingambo was invited by the CARBON EXPO 2010 partners, The World Bank, The International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and Koelnmesse to be a speaker on “Catalyzing Carbon and Climate Finance for Least Developed Countries”. The expo was held in Cologne, Germany on the 28th of May 2010.
Earth Day Green Technology Conference and Exhibition
ACCE CEO Sabera Khan was invited to be a keynote speaker on the "Building a Green Zambia" panel at the Earth Day Green Technology Conference and Exhibition held at the Mulungushi Conference Center in Lusaka on 21 April 2010. This event was sponsored by the United States Embassy in partnership with the Environmental Council of Zambia, and involved over 400 participants from the private and public sectors. ACCE was also an exhibitor in the main hall, offering information on low-carbon development and carbon markets for Zambia.
IFC Regional Agriculture and Food Security Forum 2010
ACCE recently participated in the April 2010 IFC AgriForum in Livingstone, Zambia. The event offered an opportunity to connect with major stakeholders interested in developing solutions to agricultural financing within the Southern African region. ACCE was invited to introduce its work in developing access to carbon markets for smallholder farmers through adoption of conservation agriculture techniques.
Global Mechanism Workshop on Integrated Financing Strategies for Sustainable Land Management
Professor Lloyd Chingambo, Chairman of ACCE, was invited by the UN Global Mechanism to present the innovative financing and risk mitigation structures developed by Lloyds Financials for the ACCE Green Technology Credit Enhancement Fund. Participants were asked to consider both public and private financing options that can be used strategically to address barriers to funding for implementation of low-carbon projects in the region.
Africa Carbon Forum
The Africa Carbon Credit Exchange participated in the March 2010 Africa Carbon Forum in Nairobi, where we were invited to present on Implementation of Agricultural Carbon Projects in Africa, Managing Risks in CDM Projects in Africa, and Creating an Enabling Environment for Carbon Markets in Africa. The UN Environment Programme hosted nearly 1000 attendees at the event, where project developers, offset buyers and owners, CDM and Voluntary standard officials and other stakeholders engaged in lively discussion on how to drive forward African involvement in the global carbon markets.
ACCE was honored to attend the Copenhagen climate change talks in December 2009 as part of the official Zambian delegation. Chairman Lloyd Chingambo, Acting CEO Sabera Khan and Technical Advisors John Fay and Samuel Bell presented the company’s work on Agriculture Day and took advantage of the event to officially introduce ACCE to the broader climate change arena.
